Green Diamond is one of those Miami Beach buildings you recognize right away. It’s the sister tower to Blue Diamond, and together they form the famous twin oceanfront high-rises on Collins Avenue—both rising 45 stories and standing out as two of the tallest towers directly on the beach. Green Diamond was built in 2000 by New Florida Properties, with architecture by Robert Swedroe, and it has about 315 residences with wide views that can stretch from Biscayne Bay all the way to the Miami skyline.
The first impression is very “grand tower” in the best way. The lobby feels polished and upscale, and the overall design is clean, modern, and well-kept. At night, it’s even easier to spot because the top of the building lights up with a green glow—simple detail, but it makes the tower instantly recognizable from a distance.
Life here is set up to feel like a private resort. There’s a large clubhouse (around 16,000 square feet), a full fitness center, and separate men’s and women’s saunas and steam rooms. Outside, residents have both adult and children’s oceanside pools, two whirlpools, and roughly 500 feet of beachfront with cabanas—so you can actually spend a full day by the water without needing to leave the property. When you want something more social or active, there’s a billiards and entertainment area, two lighted tennis courts, a business center, community spaces, and a children’s play area.
For day-to-day convenience, Green Diamond also covers the basics really well: 24-hour security, concierge service, garage parking, and deeded beach access. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you want a full-service oceanfront lifestyle in a building that’s well-known, easy to recognize, and right in the middle of Miami Beach.
